Muse Barbies: 10 Creative Pop Culture Barbie Dolls Designs

Muse Barbie Unusual Designs

I’ve written a lot of articles about Barbie on Bit Rebels. I feel the same way about Barbie as I do Hello Kitty. It’s definitely a love/hate relationship depending on the day. Artists seem to be very inspired by Barbie, and we’ve seen dozens of very creative Barbie designs over the years. Sometimes they are created sarcastically, like this jewelry made from Barbie body parts. And sometimes they are made out of a true love for Barbie, like this stunningly beautiful tattooed Barbie doll.

Today I’d like to share with you the Barbie doll artistry of Jocelyne Grivaud who is without a doubt a big Barbie fan. What she did in these images below is so unique. She took a collection of works by artists whom she appreciates, and then she redesigned a Barbie doll as a replica of each one of those artists.

One reason she did this was to show that Barbie can be beautiful even when she’s not just blonde and superficial. I think Barbie looks very pretty as a brunette. I also like the Avatar blue skin a lot. The detail in every one of these images is well done, and she even included a matching background. I’ve only chosen ten to share with you here, but if you’d like to see the entire collection, just click over to My Muse Barbie.
