Apparently some parents are really upset by the first tattooed Barbie doll hitting the store shelves. I don’t really see what the big deal is, and, just for the record, this is not technically the world’s first tattooed Barbie doll. Ask any girl who had access to a black sharpie when she was growing up… Yeah, I had several “tattooed Barbie dolls” in my collection when I was young. I was quite the tattoo artist back then.
A few years ago, Totally Stylin’ Tattoos Barbie was released, but back then, she just came with tattoo stickers and a little plastic tattoo gun. Now it seems Barbie has taken it one step further, and she actually comes decorated in tattoos. I’m looking more at that pink bob she’s rockin. I really like that! Barbie is almost 53 years old; I think it’s about time she be able to express herself without worrying about what everyone else thinks. I’m all for it.
Just like I am as an adult, when I was a child, I was all about the Barbie shoes. My Barbies always had to have the best shoes. I would have freaked out to have a Barbie with kick ass glittery silver bug stompers like this! This Barbie, called the Tokidoki Barbie Doll, will be available for the first time on October 13th.
