I gotta be honest with you, I’m getting a little burned out on infographics. They’re cool and all, and sometimes they have some really enlightening information on them, but I decided I was going to take a little break from them. As a matter of fact, when I saw this “Fuck Your Infographic” design today, it made me giggle because I can totally feel that. However, when I saw this one, I just couldn’t resist because the facts presented in it are nuts!
This infographic, created by Plastick Media and Voltier Digital, explores the phenomenon of online sharing. It seems people everywhere are sharing their lives online these days, and it’s exploded into almost an entire new life for many of us.
When you look at the staggering numbers on this infographic, it really puts into perspective how many people are on social media sites. However, I also think it’s interesting that 47% of Twitter accounts aren’t active and half of the registered Twitter accounts follow less than 2 people. Also, just over 50% of Facebook users log in each day. Can you believe that 250 million photos are uploaded to Facebook every day? That is a lot! Like I said, this puts a lot of things into perspective. Thank you, Brittany, for sending this to me!
