10 Ways You Can Squeeze Time For Yourself When You Are Flat Out Busy

If you are someone who is super busy at all times of the day and you don’t feel like you have any time for yourself, it might seem like you literally have no time. You might always be running around, trying to complete one task after another. However, this is not the kind of quality life that you should be leading.

When we don’t reserve time for ourselves in our busy lives, we are more likely to fall prey to disease like depression, anxiety, and increased stress. And that stress can lead to anything from increased weight, a reduced quality of your skin, and any other number of negative factors. It’s best for your health that you learn how to manage your time better so that you can keep some time for yourself and improve your own health and wellness, while still getting all of your work done.

1. Learn How To Delegate Tasks

You may be the kind of person who likes to do everything by yourself. You may think that this is the best thing to do in order for you to get everything done to your liking. However, this is not the best way of going about things. It’s much better for you to delegate your work to those around you who can help out. For example, if you have some family members who are able to help out with chores around the house. That way, you will have more time to spend on your work. Or if you have some friends who can pick up some tasks for you. Delegation is a great way to use your time much more wisely than you would otherwise.

2. Just Say No

One of the absolute best ways that you can save your time and energy to spend on more important work is to just say no. If someone asks you go out, but you just have no time on your plate, so no for right now and then ask to reschedule to a better time. If you always go to some get-togethers that are really just out of habit rather than you actually wanting to spend time with people, then say no and focus more on yourself. Saying no is completely OK.

3. File Your Life Away

The best thing you can do for your time and your sanity is to have a clear desk policy. This means that you should never have stray papers around your desk that you haven’t handled. These can easily just pile up and never get attended to. Whenever you have some kind of paper on your desk, make sure to either trash it or deal with it in the appropriate manner right then and there. You are going to be much better off without all of those papers flying around.

4. A Place For Everything

You should have a space on your desk or on a counter somewhere that holds all of your essential items that you go outside every day with. These would include your keys, sunglasses, wallet, etc. This is going to save you a lot of time that you might spend searching for your keys that you could spend getting started with your work and getting all of your tasks done. This time is going to allow you to spend so much more time on your skincare routine.

5. Be Sure To Buy In Bulk

In order to avoid any last-minute runs to the store, you’re going to be much better off buying in bulk. This is going to save you a ton of time going back and forth to the store when you can just buy a lot of something at once. For example, if you have a lot of birthdays coming up this month, then be sure to just bulk-buy stamps and cards that you can send out to your friends and family members.

6. Manage That Email Of Yours

Your email inbox is one of the most time-consuming parts of your life. Anybody who’s ever stopped what they’re doing to check on those emails that are flooding in knows how easy it is to get lost in there. Make sure to check on those emails regularly, but only at specific times in the day. Don’t just stop what you’re doing to check the emails. Try checking them around 10 AM or 11 AM once you’ve already finished up with some smaller projects and tasks in the morning.

7. Cut Out Those Cold Callers

Did you know that you can register your phone number online to get rid of those cold callers who call all of the time, asking for your money or to sell you a product? You should definitely think about doing this if you want to save your time while on the phone or around the house.

8. Go For Internet Banking

It’s going to make your life so much easier to transfer all of your banking matters online. You might think that keeping your banking on paper is safer, but that’s definitely not the case. Imagine how many bills and other banking information in letter form can get lost in the mail? Transfer your activities online and you’ll be able to check your balance at any time, do direct debit transfers, and manage your savings. This is a much better way of going about things to save your time!

9. Shop Online

Of course, a great way to save your time is to just do your shopping online. You can do everything from shopping for clothes to getting your groceries delivered online. This is going to save you tons of time and gas money when you don’t have to go to the store to do your regular shopping. Check out Amazon’s food delivery programs, for example!

10. Know Your Numbers

You should consider setting up the same codes for all of your credit cards, debit cards, and potentially the same complex passwords for your logins. When you do this, you won’t have to think as much about what password you’re supposed to enter in, saving your valuable time.

And there you have it! When you use these tips we prepared for you, you are going to be able to save tons of time that you can use to be more productive in other areas of your life.
