I always joke that I’m involved in a very serious relationship with my iPhone. Every day he goes with me everywhere, and if he was suddenly missing from my life, I would be sad for a long time. He is always by my side, and even when it’s finally time to sleep, I keep him right there under my pillow. My online world is always only a click away, and my iPhone is there like a good friend, ready to provide a smile, a giggle and loads of fun.
Sometimes late at night when all the lights are off in my bedroom, and I need a nightlight, I just tap on my iPhone. Until I saw this beautiful photography collection below, I never thought about that little light and how much it impacts our lives in so many ways.
New York photographer Seymour Templar created this project called Social Lights. He captures people in those special intimate moments with their smartphones. Their faces are blanketed with the glow of their smartphone light, and it creates such an interesting effect. Whether they are eating dinner, at a cocktail party or relaxing at home, each one of these people looks completely engaged in his or her phone. Hey, I know how that is, I’m right there with them. Brilliant!
