Protect Your Password With Help From A Geeky Stripper

As we all know, computer hackers are getting better at what they do each day, thus becoming a daily annoyance that many of us think about. Just this past week, the hacker group Anonymous was all over the news again, freaking everyone out with their coy calculated cyber threats and mind-blowing skills to back it up.

It seems nobody is safe anymore. Even Ashton Kutcher had his Twitter account hacked. Some people say it happened because of a free WiFi hotspot, and others say it was just a publicity stunt since he was being overshadowed by Charlie Sheen on Twitter for ten seconds. Regardless, computer hacking is very real and can happen to anyone.

Although I don’t think I have anything worth taking stored on my computer or my iPhone, I still ask myself on a regular basis if my passwords are strong enough. It’s so easy to fall into that trap of using the same password for everything and opting for convenience instead of stronger security. Richard recently wrote an article called Secure Your Stuff: Top Hackable Passwords. It seems that some people are still having trouble determining what is a safe password. There is a new website designed to help you determine how safe your password is, and you can have a little geeky fun in the process.

According to Naked Password, “The whole idea of naked password is to encourage your users to enter stronger passwords. Our beautiful model Sally tastefully removes items of clothing as the password grows stronger.” As you can see, Sally is a lovely 8-bit cutie who does a striptease for you. If your password is weak, she won’t remove much, but combine those numbers and letters to make it stronger and whoa!! This is so much fun. I’m embarrassed to say I spent 10 minutes playing on this site today.
