How To: Ride a Bicycle and Draw at the Same Time

This is one of those rare times when an unusual invention really grabs me. I like everything about this. The concept, the design, the thought provoking images that are graceful and beautiful, all of it is spot on.

This drawing machine, by Joseph Griffiths, is a crazy looking bicycle that creates stunning works of art while the artist exercises. If I could have one of these in my home, I would devote an entire wall to these colorful designs.

Mr. Griffiths said, “My drawings and mechanical installations seek to transcribe the living relationship between man and machine. My work seeks to reevaluate the human position in the technological equation, and realize the potential for art to permeate everyday life.”
