How To: Chill a Beer in 30 Seconds

As unlady-like as it may sound, I love to drink beer. And of course, the colder it is, the better it tastes. It is nice to keep some beer in the refrigerator, but there are still those times when you have to chill it in a hurry.

When that happens, I usually put it in the freezer and forget about it, and then have to throw it in the garbage several hours later. Not anymore! I have found an awesome method for chilling my beer in a hurry.

Richard wrote an article on this site about how to chill a beer or soda in two minutes, but for me, that method is flawed because you have to use ice, and I don’t like ice. Haha! Thanks to the brilliant geeks at Popular Science, I now have a way to chill a beer in 30 seconds (instead of 2 minutes) with no ice! This weekend, when I want to relax with a beer, I’m going to try this method. It looks like fun.

These are the things you’ll need:
Drill
Plastic container with a lid (big enough to hold the can of beer)
Air-in-a-can
Tape
Work gloves
Warm beer

If you really want to do this right, make sure to wear your geekiest outfit when chilling your beer. I love Popular Science and I really want one of these slate blue suits. I wonder how it would look with high heels… hmm…
