DIY TARDIS Cookies Made With 3D Printed Cookie Cutters

Why is it that so many of us are obsessed with the TARDIS? I know I always smile when I see that blue box. I think it’s because when I was little, I used to pretend that my closet led to a secret huge room, and that when I went in there and closed the door, it would take me to a new place in time. And, for those of you who still don’t know what the TARDIS is, that’s pretty much it. It’s a blue box that when you step into it, is huge on the inside compared to the outside. It’s a time machine spacecraft that allows you to travel through time and space. The TARDIS holds many secrets, which I cannot explain in this simple article. I put a video below of an unreleased scene from Doctor Who which will give you a feel for it all.

If you are a Doctor Who fan, you will love these cookies. As if being TARDIS cookies wasn’t geeky enough, these even get more geek-cred since the cookie cutters themselves are made with a 3D printer. Yup! That’s right. If you have access to a 3D printer, you could potentially make some of the geekiest cookies ever. You could even make your little TARDIS cookies disappear, well, into your stomach that is.

David Wilson provides the template for you to download over on Thingiverse. You can also see another example of this on Mad Art Lab. If you are interested in seeing some of the other insanely cool things a 3D printer can do, check out this 3D printed edible food, and this 3D printed wearable bikini. I love this kind of technology because it’s so practical. I mean, what could be more practical than using it to make cookies? Nom nom.
