Believe it or not, Valentine’s Day will be here before we know it. One of my favorite parts of that holiday is getting conversation hearts. I don’t usually eat them; I just like getting them. They’ve been around since I was a little girl, and there is just something about them that’s nostalgic and fun. When I saw these cute conversation heart hats which are on Etsy, I knew I had to share them with you.
I probably wouldn’t wear one of these out in public, but with the right lingerie and shoes, they could be part of a really fun, romantic evening at home. Amanda Joyner, who says she likes to glue random things to other things, created these in her spare time. Each one attaches to your head with a black elastic band or hair clips.
I’m not sure why, but these remind me a lot of these felt cat berets. The style is simple, and the colors are fun. I’m not exactly sure what these are made out of, but Amanda says she wired them, covered them in felt, and then piped them with fabric paint. It sounds like they were a blast to make. She created these hats in yellow, purple, red and pink. Each one has different words on it, just like real candy conversation hearts.
