8 Retro Imaginary Advertisements For Modern Gadgets

As new gadgets get ever more advanced, so do the advertisements for them. We have seen it over and over again in the auto industry, and of course when it comes to new products from Apple, Microsoft and alike. It just never stops. Ad agencies keep coming up with the most idiotic things to catch our attention, and usually it works. Some are more ridiculous than others, and I guess that is what they are all shooting for. I mean, today we have media streams on pretty much every street corner. With every gadget they have to think outside the box in order to really get their message across. However, there are times when you simply want to shut down your gadgets to at least get a couple of minutes of peace of mind.

Back in the old days, there were advertisements all around us as well. I am not talking about the ’70s or even the ’80s here. I am talking about back in like the ’20s and ’30s. Maybe the ads were more artistically formatted back then, and without so much noise in the ether. Still, advertisements have been around for quite some time, and they develop and progress with the advanced technology available.

A bunch of artists put their minds together to create the most hilarious retro ads of modern gadgets, and they did it brilliantly. Imagine if you were a citizen of the ’20s and suddenly you saw an ad for a cell phone. What would you think it was? A ploy or just a prank? I mean, I have seen so many false advertisements (intended to be false only to turn into a real ones) that nowadays we don’t really react. These are just brilliant from both an artistic point of view as well as from the obvious humor. Awesome!
