Why Bother With A Diva Artist: The All Robot Band

EOL Robot Band Amateur Creation

I couldn’t even tell you how many times I have worked with people in the studio who keep their diva personality up in the air as best they can. It’s not only annoying, but it brings all the creativity down to a minimum, if even that. At those times, you just want to scream, but that would probably not be the best thing to do since you are under contract and need to do the best with what you have. There is another type of band that you will soon be able to manage far more easily. All they need is a little bit of power and some settings inserted, and you are all ready to start recording. No need for long talks about feeling the lyrics and immersing themselves into the song. Just press record, and let them play all the way through.

I am talking about the all new robot that plays all the instruments in the band. It’s called the EOL Robot Band, and it is an amateur robot that is setup to play the drums, guitar, keyboard and upright bass. It’s amazing, and at first, before you click the play button, you think that it will be something really lame like we are all used to. However, that’s where you are wrong. When you watch it, you will know what I mean. It’s something out of the ordinary, and the simple setup makes it look way more simple than I am sure it really is.

The song it’s playing is not the usual classical piece, but The Beautiful People by Marilyn Manson. What is worth mentioning as well is that the robot of course plays all instruments simultaneously, and not one instrument at a time like some of the earlier musical robots that we have seen. It just tears me up inside whenever I see some lame robot play an old Beatles song with its robot fingers because it sounds like something entirely different. This thing really makes it all come together, and I think it’s awesome that the whole thing really sounds like it’s genuinely being played by real musicians. You’ll hear it yourself. It’s awesomeness people! Awesomeness!
