When A Citroén Looks Like This I am Getting One…

Citroén Taranis Concept Car Design

It’s become such a stereotyped thing, but everyone knows boys like cars and girls like shoes. I know, it’s pretty lame really that I even have to type that since we all wish the world was just a little bit more diverse, right? However, the fact is, it seems this statement isn’t too far off. I mean, for example, I even find myself staring at a cool car in Wired magazine and thinking, “One day I am getting that badass set of wheels!” I am sure there are girls out there thinking the same thing about a pair of truly awesome shoes. I have no clue why this is. Why is it so gender focused, and how come we even have stereotypes like this?

I recently came across a few images of a new concept car. At first, I thought it was some new space vehicle (like concept cars clearly always try to look like), but when I looked a little closer, it dawned on me that it was in fact was a concept car for Citroén. Yes, it’s the car manufacturer that tends to go against the stream and incorporate their very own technology, like the air controlled suspension on the older models of their cars for example. It enabled the car to be raised and lowered whenever the driver wanted it to.

I have never liked Citroén cars very much. Maybe it is because of their weird and awkward look in the ’80s, but I can tell you this, if this concept car ever gets manufactured, I am totally getting one. With the new and exciting technology, this thing would boost the originality that Citroén always stands for. It would be a blast to cruise around in this thing, and if I ever wanted people to look at me when I’m driving, this is the ride to pull that off. Why is it that car manufacturers always bombard us with their awesome designs and concept ideas and then when they announce a new car, it looks like everything else on the market? I mean, come on! Give us something to drool over and save up for! We need some new and fresh lines on our roads! Period!
