The Pilots Who Fooled The Entire World

The Pilots Who Fooled An Entire World

I am now going to show you a picture that will blow your mind. Some of you, if not all, will think that it is most certainly Photoshopped, but I assure you, it is not. These Japanese pilots are actually a part of one of the world’s most daring and intriguing airshows. What you see are two pilots that are highly trained, and they do what is said to be impossible and stupid. Impossible because if two planes were flying that close they would cancel each others lift and would most likely end up in a wreck somewhere.

So how is it done? Well, if you want to be one of those people who wants to keep magic intact and the guessing alive, then you should just stop reading right about now. Instead, look at the picture and be amazed. There, now you have had two chances to stop reading, and if you are still reading you must be eager to know what it is all about.

The trick is called a Parallax effect. To understand it, you have to think in two dimensions. The bottom plane, if you look closely, is slightly bigger than the top one is actually way closer to the camera than the top one. If done correctly, you will be able to fool the world into thinking that what you are doing is daring and insanely cool. So there you have it. I hate to spoil the magic but that’s how it’s done.
