Wow, I had no idea that the Rubik’s Cube has been around for 30 years. That little colorful brainteaser has some staying power for sure. For its own 30th birthday, the Rubik’s Cube is celebrating in two very special ways.

First of all, they’ve come out with a limited edition wooden cube. That’s nice and all, but for $31 bucks, I think I’ll pass on a Rubik’s Cube made out of wood. The next way they are celebrating is right up my alley! Introducing the new Rubik’s Cube iPhone app that allows you to play the game right on your mobile phone!

According to How To Geek, “They’ve got a 2×2, 3×3, and even 5×5 cubes to play and a 3D mode that appears to require glasses… the most interesting feature is that you can use your iPhone camera to solve your physical Rubik’s cube no matter how jumbled up it is.” Wow, nice! You can get your own Rubik’s Cube app for only $2.99.
