PhoneSoap: Clean & Charge Your Smartphone With One Device

PhoneSoap-Charges-and-Cleans-Phone

A few months ago, I wrote about germs. More specifically, it was an article about how disgustingly filthy our gadgets are. The fact that our keyboards have 60 times more germs than a toilet seat, and 16% of smartphones have poop on them still makes me gag when I think about it. For some reason, probably because germs aren’t visible, people don’t seem to be too concerned about it. At least that is what I thought until I saw this gadget today called PhoneSoap.

PhoneSoap is a little device that will sanitize your smartphone and charge it all at the same time. It’s a brilliant little gizmo that uses light to kill bacteria and viruses without creating any heat. The box also allows for a micro USB cord and an Apple 30-pin USB cord, so it will charge your phone also.

PhoneSoap is a Kickstarter project right now, and for a $39 pledge, you can preorder one. You can read a lot more information about it at PhoneSoap: Simultaneously Charge and Sanitize Your Phone. If you’d like to see some more germ deliciousness, check out Doorknob Licking and The 5-Second Rule Investigated. After writing this, I feel like I need to go wash my hands since they’ve been all over this nasty keyboard. I wish I could bathe in sanitizer sometimes.
