With the increased amount of technology in our lives, the possibility of identifying theft is rising along with it. Whether or not we will get hacked is no longer the question we should be asking ourselves. Instead, we should be wondering when it will happen. It’s a frightening thought, no doubt, but there are things you can do to lower the risk. We can learn how by looking at how hackable our own lives and everyday tech are.

With trojans, malware and viruses constantly being pushed on us, it can sometimes be hard to determine what’s legit and what’s not. I can’t even begin to understand how confusing and scary it must be for novice computer and Internet users when all this stuff is made aware to them. The world would definitely be a better place if all of these forms of hack-ware would just instantly stop existing. But as we all know, that is not going to happen anytime soon. We need to take a closer look at how hackable our lives and tech are and see if we can patch them up as best we can.

It’s through understanding how hackers go about gaining access to our files and computers that we are able to patch the holes. Everyone is hackable, so you might as well just get used to the thought of being hacked. So how do we educate ourselves about how hackable our lives really are?

It could open our eyes to yet unknown hacker tactics. Everything from your webcam to your Skype account can be hacked if you don’t know what is going on. As much as it pains me to say it, we are all hackable, and you’d do best in having a look at this infographic and learning the trades of today’s hackers.
