Gladiator’s Bike: The Entertainment Vehicle Of The Future

Not too long ago I saw a program on Discovery that talked about the entertainment industry in the future. How we are to wander ever deeper into the virtual world and become immersed in its way of engaging us, both in entertainment and in business. According to them we are to fuse the world we live in today and the virtual world. This means that we will most likely work in the virtual world with avatars and real currency, whether it is in a game or not. The interesting part was that for us to entertain ourselves outside of the online realm there will be technologies that will take us high and wide.

What I am talking about is of course the way we transport ourselves around from location A to B. Today’s vehicles are becoming increasingly heavy on the environment and new breeds of transportation is necessary to be developed. Many have talked about personal air crafts. There’s been everything from cars with wings to jet propulsion ships. The way artist and concept designer Jaewan Jeong sees it though, is that we’ll be flying around in personal jet cycles right about around the 22nd century.

The design is not only beautiful but with a technology expected to be around in about 100 years or so it doesn’t seem to be too out there either. I mean, we’ve seen stuff and technology today that is way beyond what any of us could have expected some 20 years ago, right? This flying bike is called the Glatiator’s Bike and will serve as a vehicle in a sport that will most likely be more or less like Quidditch in Harry Potter but without the balls. Who knows, these bikes of the sky might be around sooner and then we’ll all get a chance to see what they are really about. But for now we are only to view its awesomeness through these rendered pictures. Badass is all I can say!
