I wish that this was more of a tutorial about how to create a concept cell phone cause there are a slew of them on the Internet. Each day new and exciting concepts are released upon the world, but most will probably never see the light of day as a real product that we all can buy. However, that’s not really the idea behind these things anyway. They are created to play with our minds and make us push the boundaries, just like Star Trek and Star Wars once did.
When it comes to the Eagle concept cell phone, it’s a little bit of the old mixed with a little bit of the new. Eugene Kim, who is the designer behind this mind twisting concept, entered a competition held by LG. It was a way for tech companies to gain a new perspective of what their consumers might want to see on the store shelves in the upcoming future.
Even though this concept phone didn’t make it to the finals, it did very well and gained a lot of interest for its daring and new design. It combines the old “clam” design with the new touch screen design so beautifully. It’s a little bulky, but with two sensitive touch screens on each end, this could turn out to be a one-of-a-kind handheld gaming console. It could forever redefine the game pong which you could then play all by yourself. However, the most interesting feature is that it’s a two section touch screen device which could potentially enable a lot of new and awesome features in the future. Would we carry something like this around? Well, that is for you to decide.
