I love my iMac, but sometimes I would like to have it with me when I’m away from home. Like many people, I think that a MacBook is a bit pricey. I’m so excited to have found a way to make a half price MacBook.
When I saw this video, I instantly knew I had to share it with you. After reading this article, you will have the knowledge you need to install Snow Leopard on a Dell Netbook.
As with anything that is as geeked out as this, in order to insure success, I recommend following the instructions on this video and http://www.mydellmini.com exactly.
You will need:
10 inch Netbook
Base Mini 10v Package: With Ubuntu – no need to buy Windows
(you could get the one with the SSD drive, but, of course, that will increase your cost.)
External USB DVD Drive
8X DVD RW External USB Drive
Mac OS X version 10.6 Snow Leopard
You will make this disk yourself by following the directions from this video and http://www.mydellmini.com
Skill level required: Intermediate
Time required: 1-2 hours
If you do a google search, you will see there are also tons of other sites with pictures and tutorials about how to do this. If you take on this project, let us know how it works out!
