Bluetooth Handset Gloves: Answer Phone By Putting Fingers To Your Ear

bluetooth-handset-glove-call-me

A month ago, Richard wrote an article about some rings (the kind you put on your fingers) that allow you to answer your phone when you put your fingers to your ear. It was a pretty rad concept, and you can read about it at Cell Phone Rings Incorporate The Ancient “Call You” Gesture. That isn’t a product I would find useful since the feature I use least on my iPhone is the actual telephone. However, for some people, it might work well. These Bluetooth handset gloves work on that same concept.

This actually looks like it could be a lot of fun to use, although only in certain situations, like when you’re shoveling snow or scraping ice off your windshield. You simply wear these Bluetooth handset gloves, and when your phone rings, you answer it by putting your fingers in the left glove into the “call me” or “talking on the phone” gesture. You do that by extending your thumb and pinky finger of course.

There is an itty-bitty microphone in the pinky of the left glove, and a tiny speaker in the thumb, so you really do need to actually do the “call me” gesture to talk on your phone if that makes sense. In addition to answering your phone with these Bluetooth handset gloves, you’ll also be able to operate your touchscreen as you would with any pair of technology gloves. There are some buttons on the glove which you can press to hang up the phone and do a few other simple functions. These gloves work for iOS, Android, Blackberry and Windows phones.

If you would like to keep your fingers toasty warm this season without sacrificing your phone and technology needs, just click over to ThinkGeek where these are on sale right now for $52.49. These are definitely some of the geekiest gloves I’ve ever seen!
