Awe-Inspiring 3-D Projection | A Snoring House

Have you ever heard a house snore? That is what this sounds like to me, and although the concept is mind boggling and the visuals are incredible, it’s still a little bit spooky. I love huge-scale video projections, and I find this one particularly fascinating.

3-D projections on buildings are becoming quite an art form as more and more of them are becoming popular around the world. This one is part of a project called 555 Kubrik and it is projected along the side of the Hamburg Kunsthalle in Germany. It is affectionately called “How it would be, if a house was dreaming” (produced by UrbanScreen).

According to their website, “The solid facade uncovers different interpretations of conception, geometry and aesthetics expressed through graphics and movement. A situation of reflexivity evolves – describing the constitution and spacious perception of this location by means of the building itself.”

It’s not every day that you actually see a building come alive. This will get your imagination running crazy as you wonder if what you are eyes are seeing is real. Imagine what it would be like to see this in person. This is augmented reality on steroids for sure. I can think of a lot of uses for this type of communication tool. You can check out more of UrbanScreen’s projections by visiting http://www.urbanscreen.com.
