I really want your opinion on this one. This human-shaped shower is getting rave reviews all over the Internet. However, to me, it’s as creepy as it gets.
Designer Hubert Rieber apparently created this Aquanatass shower so we would never again have to shower alone. I’m basing this on the mushy poem about confiding and talking to your shower which is on the homepage of the site (wth?).
His inspiration for this design was the human body, and this shower sculpture has the same contours as a person. To make this even weirder, this shower gushes water out of his head, and vomits it out of his mouth. In my opinion, this is something straight out of a horror movie. I read somewhere that this concept is supposed to bring a sense of security to the person taking a shower. Are you kidding me? Get the giant water spewing alien out of my bathroom, and I might feel secure.
I even found some pictures on the Internet of a woman that looked like she was… well… having a lot of fun with this shower. Obviously I’m not posting those pics here, but again, I am baffled by it all. What do you think? So far, this is only available in Switzerland and the United Arab Emirates.
