Twitter Community Promotes Spontaneous Hugs

What’s up with all the hugs on Twitter? You don’t have to be on Twitter long until you start seeing hugs in tweets all over the place. I know I send out dozens of Twitter hugs every day. Why do we do that? What do we get out of it?

To me, hugs are powerful, even when given online. Sure, it may sound silly, but a hug can bring a person comfort, joy, happiness, friendship, and even a feeling of belonging. A hug is the shortest distance between friends, even on Twitter. When someone special hugs me, I tingle all over. It’s the same on Twitter, when a friend tweets a hug; it makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. What about you?

Most of the world is hug starved, but most of Twitter doesn’t have to be. Send someone you care about a Twitter hug today. You never know the difference it might make in their day. If you need a Twitter hug, just let me know, I have an unlimited number of them to give out.

“A silent hug means a thousand words to an unhappy heart.” – Unknown
“Hugging closes the door to hate.” – Tony Davis
“If for every tear I get a hug from you, then I would cry forever.” – Unknown

This is, yep you guessed it, the Free Hugs video that we’ve all seen. This never gets old to me; I could watch it over and over, the music is amazing. There is a reason why this video has been viewed almost 55 million times.

Thank you http://s215.photobucket.com/home/4Gazpacho for the great picture above. You are so talented!
