The Most Powerful Colors On The Internet

The Most Powerful Colors On The Internet

This is so interesting to me. Have you ever wondered what the most powerful colors on the Internet are? These are the colors that command attention, the ones that make you look twice, and the ones that increase your click through rate.

We all know how important color is to a brand. However, would you consider designing your logo based on the most powerful colors known on the web? I would.

Recently, Colour Lovers released the results of their study to determine which colors are in fact the most powerful. They based their study on the top 100 sites on the Internet. They analyzed their data using their own Twitter tool. You can see their colorful infographics below.

What’s the bottom line? BLUE is the most powerful color, followed by RED, which is a close second. Now the obvious question… Do people choose blue because both Twitter and Facebook are blue? Does that factor into the equation? According to Colour Lovers, Darius even asked Mark Zuckerberg, the founder of Facebook, why he chose blue. He answered, “I’m color blind, it’s the only color I can see.” You can read more about this fascinating study here.
