How To: Overcome the 3 Most Difficult Hurdles in Blogging

Blogging is fun. It is very rewarding in terms of having your thoughts, your ideas and your passions fueled. I have been blogging for over a year now, 1 year and 6 months to be exact, and I am loving every minute of it. Just like with anything we do, there are occasions when we find ourselves faced with hurdles. I believe these are challenges that make us stronger and help us to improve ourselves even more, especially in terms of blogging.

There are so many challenges that face a blogger everyday. However, I think there are three that the majority of bloggers face everyday. I hope to be able to help you in overcoming these three hurdles:

1. Writer’s Block – We know that content is the major element in our blog that keeps our readers coming back to our site. However, what if you suddenly have the dreaded writer’s block? We experience this most often when we are tired and are experiencing a lot of stress in our day. I believe the best way to alleviate this is to just leave your computer for a while and take a walk or do something else. More often than not, we can draw inspiration from the things we see around us, the things we read, or even a movie we watch.

2. Time – The next big problem we have is time, or the lack of it. I am sure that you have already experienced days when it seems that 24 hours is not enough. The best thing to do is really plan your posts. Really try to make an effort to plan your articles and make sure you stick to your schedule. For example, you can plan to give at least an hour of your time everyday to research, writing and editing an article. Having at least 3 posts written in advance also helps when your schedule becomes really hectic.

3. Procrastination – Last but not the least is our tendency to write our posts at the last minute because we have been putting it off for another time. Procrastination is something that can really hurt our blog. Consistency is key, not just in writing our articles but also in promoting them for others to read and share. Putting off an important task can lead to delays, and believe me, it will creep up on you if you do not get it under control. The best way to handle this is discipline and dedication. If you really want to succeed in the world of blogging, these two characteristics are something that you must abide by.

Maybe you have other tips that can help our readers too, we would love to hear from you!
