Small Business Guide To Social Media Mastery [Infographic]

As a small business owner, if you don’t already know how important social media is for your business, it’s time to start taking notes. A few years ago, most companies and brands were quite oblivious to social media, and they didn’t want to spend any time or money exploring its possibilities. Today it’s a whole different story, and small businesses try their best to increase their social media mastery.

Why is that so important, and what will it bring to the table? Its quite easy really… everything. When I say everything, I don’t even need to give examples since it’s really that, everything. If your business is not on social media, you are missing out on probably double your potential revenue. Did I capture your attention? All you need to understand in order to pursue social media mastery is a few simple statistics. These statistics are most likely going to make you ride the squirrel to get started with social media, so let’s just get to it.

The statistics I am talking about are ones like the fact that businesses with just 1,000 likes on Facebook have a 185% gain in traffic to their website and offers. If that is not enough motivation to get started working on your social media mastery, I don’t know what is. But that’s not all, even businesses with as few as 51 to 100 followers gain 106% more traffic than businesses and brands with 25 followers or less.

It’s when we consult an infographic called The Small Business Guide To Social Media Mastery, presented by MarketMeSuite (design by Placester), that we really start to see the benefits of using social media as a rocket booster for your promotional and brand awareness efforts. If we have a look at specific social networking services for example, we quickly see that it doesn’t really matter what social networking service you choose, there is always going to be something to gain when it comes to traffic and customers. For example, 58% of brands and businesses on LinkedIn have generated customers, 48% through Twitter and 42% from Facebook. So why shouldn’t you be on social media? The answer to that is simple and clear, there is simply no reason why your brand should not be on social media to potentially grow your business to new heights.
