How To Keep A Good Business Reputation On Facebook [Infographic]

Keep-Good-Facebook-Business-Reputation

Building a solid, well-respected business reputation online is equally as tricky as building it offline. You can spend months or even years building your credibility and character, and in one day, it can all crumble. Once it’s tarnished, the journey to build it up again can seem overwhelming. It’s one of the main reasons why so many companies are still cautious about putting their social media correspondence in the hands of an employee. One seemingly small mistake of forgetting to log out of one account before logging into another can lead to a harmful picture or comment being sent out on the company page. Recovering from a fumble like that takes more than just hitting the delete button.

We all pretty much know what we should and shouldn’t do to build a strong offline business reputation, but building our online business reputation is not quite as obvious. I still talk to people who don’t realize when they type in all caps it comes across as yelling. A simple misstep like that can cause someone on the receiving end of your message to form a completely inaccurate perception about you and your business, and that can affect your reputation in a bad way.

In this infographic called Peer Perceptions: The Guide to Maintaining a Good Business Reputation on Facebook by Demandforce, you’ll see 7 simple little tips that may help you maintain a good business reputation on Facebook. Sometimes people think social media is social media. In other words, they think it’s okay to post the same things on all sites. However, that is actually not the most effective way to go about it. To get the most out of each site, take just a little time to learn what is most acceptable on each one, and you’ll be good to go!
