This Is My Dream House – Design Inspiration

Since I’m looking for a new place to live right now, it seems like I’ve got architecture on my mind. I have been looking at a lot of different websites trying to decide which is the best path to take, and along the way, I found a house that I would love to live in. The only problem is, it’s in a land far far away… Switzerland.

That’s okay, I can still dream, right? I should also mention that this house is underground. The geek in me would love that since the whole underground, unfinished concrete thing gives it a fallout shelter, Terminator feel.

Built into a hill, this house, located deep in the mountains, would be the perfect place to getaway and a great place to tweet all weekend without being bothered by anyone! The floor plan was developed by SeARCH and Christian Muller Architects. It features a secret passageway and huge windows (which makes it surprisingly bright for an underground house). Oh my gosh, my mouth is actually watering right now.

Words that come to my mind when I look at this house are: Original, genius, innovative, inspirational, natural and beautiful. I love everything about it. This is my dream house. Check out that dining room table! I’ll invite you all over for Thanksgiving dinner; there will be enough room for all of us! What does your dream house look like?

Thank you for the super fab photos! http://freshome.com
