Drunk Pumpkin Pie: Autumn Dessert Served In A Martini Glass

Pumpkin-Pie-In-Martini-Glass

Just the other day, I wrote an article about how to drink your apple pie, and today I’m going to follow that up with how you can drink your pumpkin pie in a martini glass. As it turns out, drinking pie is more common than I originally thought, and with a little work, I bet I could put together a whole collection of pie cocktail recipes from all over the web.

I just saw pumpkins for the first time this season yesterday, and it instantly put me in the mood for fall. I suddenly wanted to drink hot apple cider with cinnamon sticks and light candles that smell like pine trees. One thing a lot of us think about when we think about fall is pumpkin pie.

There is nothing like a slice of homemade pumpkin pie with a huge dollop of whipped cream on top. This pumpkin pie dessert drink served in a martini glass could be a close second though! This would be a great after dinner drink to serve your guests at a dinner party, or a simple drink to make for yourself at home to spice up an ordinary autumn evening. If you don’t have a martini glass, I’m sure any cocktail glass will do. I can almost smell it just from looking at the pictures.

Aside from the martini glass itself, you only need 6 ingredients for this: Pumpkin pie mix (canned), amaretto, vanilla vodka, Half-and-Half, ice and some cinnamon for garnish. You can get the complete recipe over on Buzzfeed. If I were to make this, I think I might even add whipped cream to the top. Why not, right? It’s the beginning of the holiday season, so all diet rules go out the window until January 1st. Hmm…That might not be such a good plan. I better think that one through a little more.
