New Food Trend – Pizza in a Cone (NYC)

I’m definitely a foodie because I’ve written about everything from the most heavenly ice cream sundae ever made to that disgusting KFC Double Down sandwich. I was in Manhattan last week and what is everyone talking about for lunch? Pizzacones! I knew right away when I heard about this that I had to share it with you.

Pizzacones are little individual portions of pizza ingredients, custom made, then stuffed inside a dough concoction that looks like a cross between an gigantic ice cream cone and a calzone. It’s baked for 5 minutes and that’s it! It’s the ultimate fast food because they’re easy to carry, there is no mess, depending on the ingredients you choose, they can be somewhat healthy, and they are delicious!

They are served in this little box that looks similar to a mini-Happy Meal box. Apparently this is already popular in Brazil, Portugal and Italy. New York is famous for their pizza, so I’m excited that it’s been introduced there in the States. If you are in New York City and want to check this out, Pizzacones is located on Fifth Avenue between 32nd and 33rd streets. It’s a tiny storefront, but it’s bright yellow, so it’s hard to miss.
