This Enormous Mouth-Watering Chocolate Train Sets A World Record

chocolate-train-sets-world-record

Another day, another monstrosity of a chocolate build – This incredible chocolate train is really special though since it recently snagged the official Guinness World Record for the World’s Longest Chocolate Structure. This train, which comes complete with seven wagons, a bar, a restaurant and more is made entirely out of chocolate. The whole thing put together is 112 feet long (34 meters) and weighs 2,755 pounds (1,250 kg).

The detail on this chocolate train is insane. Just imagine that everything from the dishes and cups in the restaurant to the curtains on the windows are made out of chocolate. This unique and very creative chocolate train was conceived, designed and built by chocolate artist Andrew Farrugia. It took him over 700 hours to complete this masterpiece.

After the representatives from Guinness inspected this train thoroughly to determine that no materials other than chocolate had been used, it was officially named the longest chocolate structure in the world. Keep in mind, that is not the same thing as the largest chocolate structure, but this one is definitely the longest. I can’t help but wonder what will happen to this chocolate train now that this project is complete. Wouldn’t it be great if they let a bunch of kids from a school have at it? It would be a lot of fun to walk up to this thing and just chomp a big bite out of it.

You know, a chocolate train of this length is long, but it’s not that long. I think this might be one of those world records that wouldn’t be that hard to beat. But then again, what do I know. I’m not a chocolate artist, I’m just a chocolate eater. If you want to see more chocolate deliciousness, check out this Willy Wonka Style Chocolate Room or this Chocolate Record That Plays Music.
