You might remember that I wrote about the Castle Treehouse not too long ago, and that you could get it for way less money than you could ever imagine. It so happens that the world is actually full of neat and magical places that you could live or stay in. You don’t have to be confined to the boring and ultimately standardized living conditions that the architects of today dream up and realize. In order to embrace the magic of life itself, its required that you venture out into the unknown and start looking around a little bit in order to find the gems that are hidden in an ever more chaotic society. There are places that will put the zen in your lifestyle like the water in a lake.
In Durby, Belgium they know how to put the magic into our boring lives, and they do so by taking us on an enchanting adventure through what can only be described as a monumental lobotomy of Tim Burton and his ever changing craziness. They actually have a bed & breakfast hotel called La Balade Des Gnomes, which is entirely built from all kinds of wooden creations. They range from livable cows to the most spectacular star crusted wooden rooms.
Sound weird? Well, that is only the beginning. This bed & breakfast is a sight that will make most people open their wallets since it will give them a chance to live in a world much unlike their own. We all need a little bit more magic in our lives, and the ability to give our children a good start in their own lives which will help them see that having a great imagination is what will change the world. It really couldn’t be a better gift. This interesting concept is surely up there with the castle treehouse for me, and if I am ever in Belgium, I will definitely pay this place a visit. It looks nothing less than awesome. The only thing I wish for though is to see more pictures of what the whole thing looks like from the outside. It’s amazing what a bit of imagination and creativity can build, right?
