Increase Productivity With These 12 Simple Tips [Infographic]

increase-productivity-tips-guide-header

Every once in a great while, we all fall short on our productivity. We procrastinate every second we can, and it’s usually what puts us off our deadline. For a company, that can be disastrous and lead to a lot of money spent on nothing. However, it’s important to understand that productivity can’t be maintained 24/7, no matter what you do. Your brain can only take so much, and sooner or later, you will have to let it rest for a bit in order for your productivity to go up again. The fact is, sometimes you just don’t know what to do in order to increase productivity to make sure you hit that deadline, and that’s when a few tips could come in handy. So how can we increase productivity?

One of my personal favorites when it comes to increasing productivity is to do what seems best and feels the most enticing to work on right at that moment. If you have several tasks that have to be done, and they are not dependent on each other, do the one that you feel the most compelled to do. Not only will it release a lot of stress, but it will also ensure that you will optimize your time for all your other tasks. But always remember, sooner or later you’ll have to do the less compelling tasks, no matter how you look at it.

A lot of people seem to think that in order to increase productivity, you only need to do everything faster. Well, it’s not that simple really. In order to increase productivity, you need to make sure all of your tasks are really necessary. The ones that don’t need to be on that to-do list of yours should be taken off. See, you have already managed to increase productivity with the slightest bit of effort.

Small things like setting goals or targets (small ones), batching tasks, and doing them at the best time possible will also increase productivity quite a lot. The simplest way to increase productivity is of course to take shortcuts that don’t affect the outcome of the quality of your work. Speak faster, type faster and sometimes (just sometimes) work faster, and you will see that even the most minimal optimizations will increase productivity.

My own motto when it comes to preventing quality loss is to always tell myself that stress will not solve the algorithm of optimization. And besides, what does it matter if I fail to keep my short term goals as long as I am doing my very best to reach them? No one is going to care in a 100 years anyways, right? Have a look at this quite straight forward infographic from Success Sculpting System called 12 Ideas To Increase Productivity. It could potentially supercharge the way you increase productivity, and put you on track with whatever it is you are doing. Stress won’t solve your time problems, optimizing to increase productivity will.
