Ice Molds Party Glasses: The Glass Melts Away As You Sip Your Drink

ice-molds-shot-glasses-amazon

It’s that time of year again – ‘Tis the season of parties and spending time with friends and family while enjoying decadent foods and drinks. I’m feeling extra adventurous this year, and I’ve decided to try all kinds of things I’ve never tried before, so I plan on tasting eggnog for the first time. If you are feeling adventurous too, you might really like what I have to share with you today. It will add a whole new level of creativity to the iced drinks you serve this holiday season. They are small drinking glasses, which are really ice molds.

These ice mold glasses aren’t technically glasses at all, they are chunks of ice with a hole in the middle, so right off the bat they will be more practical to use since there won’t be any broken glass or glasses to clean after the party. They will simply start to melt away as the person sips their drink. However, I have a few questions about this. If you serve an iced shot of liquor in this type of glass, I can see how it would work well. If you serve a citrus drink or a mini-margarita for example, wouldn’t it get uncomfortable to walk around holding a chunk of ice all night? I guess you could pass out gloves to your guests too. That way, they won’t freeze their fingers off while holding their ice mold glass.

These will allow you to get really creative with your drinks too since you don’t have to use just water to create these ice molds. You can use different colorful liquids to create different colored ice mold glasses. When you really start thinking about it, the options are endless. You can pick up a set of 12 ice mold glasses on Amazon for $20. It’s a small price to pay to add so much creativity to a memorable evening with friends. If you want to try an even different kind of shot glass, check out these Edible Chocolate Covered Strawberry Shot Glasses. Happy holidays!
