He Will Soon Have 100,000 Website URLs Tattooed On His Body

URLs Tattooed On His Back

Have you ever thought about what it would be like to break a world record? What would you do? I’ve thought about it before. I’m not an extraordinary athlete, and I don’t know how to do any tricks like balance a stack of pennies on my elbow while jumping on one foot or anything like that, so I have no idea what I’d do. Maybe I could break the world record for the number of blog posts written in 24 hours. Richard and I have had a contest with each other about that a couple times, and daaaangit, he always wins.

Patrick Vaillancourt, a creative guy from Canada, wanted to find a way to break a world record and help people at the same time. He came up with a very unusual way to go about it, and he’s become quite famous for it. Patrick currently holds the world record for the most web URLs tattooed on a body. It’s a unique form of marketing that also gives back. He charges people (and companies) $35 to have their URL tattooed on his body. He gives half the money to charity, and he uses the other half to pay his friend to permanently ink that badboy on his skin.

Since URLs are so small, and since they are being strategically placed on his body so the maximum number can fit, he hopes to raise 3.5 million dollars doing this. Tens of thousands of companies have reserved space on his body, and when this is all said and done, he will have about 100,000 URLs to show off. They will cover him from his neck down to his feet. If you would like to reserve a place on Patrick’s body before it’s all filled up, go to Back2thelight to buy your spot.
