For designers the best thing after your formal training is to actually jump in and learn the ropes by experiencing how it is to work in the real world.  Here is a great program that allows the students to travel and see the work of great designers up close.  They also share their experiences, what they saw and what they learned from the travel.  amazing way to get a glimpse of what their counterparts are working on and what process they went through.

Maybe through the sharing of this information, more and more companies and schools will be able to participate.  Always great to see the up and coming designers get their feet wet early on and again i must say truly experience is the best teacher.

Five furniture design graduate students from the Savannah College of Art and Design participated in the first-ever study abroad program between Italy and the United States sponsored by the Italian Trade Commission and the Italian Ministry of Economic Development.
