Best Rainbow-Colored Batman Cake Ever Baked

Best-Batman-Cake-Ever

You gotta admit, we’ve featured some pretty un-freaking-believable cakes (and cupcakes) over the years. I think out of all of them, the life-size Yoda cake is probably my favorite, but then again, it’s hard to choose just one. This batman cake is in a whole class of its own though. It’s not a super extravagant cake with tons of fancy stuff, it doesn’t have detailed decorations on it, and it’s not even that big. But when you look at the inside, you’ll see the magic appear.

This is a rainbow-colored (layered) batman cake filled with all kinds of awesomeness. The neat part about it is that you can bake one of these yourself simply by looking at the one long image below. All you’ll need to do is whip up six batches of white cake batter, add your food coloring and bake them separately. When they come out, after they cool, stack them all on top of each other (put a thin layer of frosting between each layer). Then use a very sharp knife to cut out the Batman pattern and cover it all in chocolate frosting yumminess.

Whoever made this is brilliant, and I’d eat that thing up in about two minutes. This was originally posted on 9GAG about three days ago, and as of right now, there are 215 quite entertaining comments about it. Just click over there to check them out. I want to know exactly what kind of icing that is. It almost looks like a chocolate candy coating. As I think about this more, if we are going to color the inside of a batman cake, it might be neat to only stack it with black and yellow cake layers. That would add a little sophistication to it, but I still like this rainbow-colored one a lot too! You could use this same method to create any superhero shaped cake you like, well, any superhero shape that you can cut with a knife that is.
