Behold The World’s Most Dangerous Hiking Trail

Every once in a great while, we all need to stretch our legs, get a bit of fresh air and just relax. Some people go to a resort to chill, while others find refuge and peace of mind when hiking. I wouldn’t say that I am much of a wilderness dude and quite frankly, I wouldn’t even know what to bring if I ever went on a long hike somewhere. But that doesn’t mean I will never take it on at some adventurous point in my life. The only thing is, where do you start to find a place to go? There are literally millions of different hiking trails in the world, and picking one can be oh so difficult. Choosing the wrong one could lead to permanent boredom, while picking another one could seal your fate.

So what to choose? Well, for the more adventurous people, I think I have found a trail that might bring not only excitement, but also definitely a degree of fear into the whole experience. So if that is what you like, have a look at this. It’s considered the world’s most dangerous hiking trail, called El Caminito del Rey (meaning King’s Little Pathway), and it should not be taken on lightly. It rests 300 meters (984 feet)  above the river, and it has long been in desperate need of repair. As a matter of fact, almost the entire trail, leaning on a 90 degree mountain side, is without any kind of hand rail.

Not only that, but there is also some insane passages where there are not even a trail to stay secure on. You will have to climb on the bare mountain side and hope for dear life that nothing goes wrong. I can’t say that I have ever seen anything like it. This is definitely something for the ones who want to feel what it’s like to be on the brink of survival. Let’s hope to the lord above that the weather doesn’t take a turn for the worse or you will find yourself in a little bit of a difficult position, to say the least. So, anyone up for a chillaxing hike? I now know of a place!
