6 Creative Thanksgiving Cupcakes To Sweeten Your Holiday

celebrate-with-thanksgiving-cupcakes

If you live here in the United States, you know that tomorrow is turkey day when we will all express our gratitude for life as we know it…and then eat, eat, eat. Maybe you have family or friends coming to visit for the occasion, and maybe you have even started cooking. I know a lot of people who want to spice things up this year, and I have an idea for how you can do that. How about make some Thanksgiving cupcakes?

I’d like to share two different kinds of Thanksgiving cupcakes you can make. The first kind is the super creative design I wrote about last year that is still my favorite. It’s the traditional Thanksgiving dinner with turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce and gravy all combined into a to-die-for Thanksgiving cupcake. It’s such a creative cupcake design, and you can check it out at Thanksgiving Cupcakes Made From Turkey & Stuffing.

The second kind of Thanksgiving cupcake you can make is the dessert kind that looks like Thanksgiving. That is what you see below, and those also look delicious! They are the perfect little after-dinner snack that you could make and take to the party tomorrow. These were made by Toni at Make Bake Celebrate. You can get her detailed recipe and tutorial at Thanksgiving Dinner Cupcakes. These are definitely a little mind-twisting since they don’t look like they’d be sweet, but they are! This look was created with simple food coloring, marshmallow bits, walnuts, extra pumpkin cupcake, black and white sanding sugars, fondant and more.

The gravy on top of the mashed potatoes is caramel, the green beans and corn-on-the-cob is made from fondant (but you could use yellow jelly beans for the corn instead), and the stuffing is made from chunks of extra pumpkin cupcakes. These look like they would be so much fun to make (and eat)!
