What You Can Do With 10 Minutes Of Spare Time [Infographic]

10-Minutes-Of-Spare-Time

What do you do with your spare time? Time is our most valuable asset. This becomes truer as our lives are continuously interrupted with distractions coming at us from all directions. If someone gives you his or her time, take a moment to appreciate that gift because that’s really what it is. My day starts with my laptop in my lap while I’m still sitting in my bed, and it end the same way. There never seems to be enough time to get everything done, and eventually, it comes down to prioritizing what’s most important and realizing that the world won’t end if you don’t finish it all.

Richard and I had a conversation about this recently. Instead of wishing there were more hours in each day, we are focusing on optimizing the hours we have so we can make the most of them. Some people call this “working smart instead of working hard,” but to me, it just makes sense. If I can figure out how to creatively fit 20 hours worth of work into the 14 hours I have to work, I’ll be a happy camper.

Do you ever find yourself with a spare 10 minutes? We all have tiny blocks of 2-4 minutes of spare time, and that is why smartphone games like Angry Birds and Temple Run became so popular. They fit nicely in that time slot. However, 10 minutes of spare time seems like a lot, right? I mean, that’s enough time to workout or take a power nap if you are organized enough to get it going fast. Otherwise, you can waste 5 minutes of your 10 minutes just trying to decide what to do.

Apparently some people really know how to make the most of their spare time. This infographic called What Can Be Done in 10 Minutes by QuickQuid.co.uk shows a list of things so long it will make you feel like 10 minutes is an hour. If I had 10 minutes of spare time, I would probably spend it on Pinterest. 10 minutes of uninterrupted pinning time sounds like heaven to me right now. What could you do with 10 minutes of spare time?
