When I saw these superhero action figures used as boutonnieres, I knew I had to show you. It’s such a brilliant idea if you are planning a wedding, and you want to add a geeky twist. We are huge fans of superheroes, I just never thought of the figures being used like this before. Not only will your groomsmen be able to wear them as boutonnieres on your big day, but they’ll be able to keep them forever as a souvenir from your wedding.
These pictures were taken by Jagger Photography at Ben and Mimi’s wedding last year. If you click over to the photography site, you’ll be able to see a lot more very creative and ultimately geeky ideas that they incorporated into their wedding aside from just these superhero boutonnieres.
Before their wedding, Mimi asked all the groomsmen what their favorite superheroes were. She then collected action figures of Batman, Jesus, Iron Man, Superman and Professor X and turned the figures into handcrafted boutonnieres. I don’t have any details about how she did that. If you want to recreate something like this for your own wedding, you could probably contact her directly to ask her what she added to the back of each one to make it attachable to their vests.
