SXSW 2010: Why should I attend?

The South by Southwest Conference and Festivals, better known as SXSW, is an internationally recognized music, film, and media interaction conference held annually in Austin, TX. It began in 1987 as a way to gather those in the industry to work together, share ideas, and network. Since then, it has expanded with offices around the world to help bring the best talents in each field to Austin every year.

The Interactive portion of SXSW 2010 will be March 12-16. These four days are packed full of presentations, panel discussions, book signings, parties and events. SXSW puts you face to face with designers, developers, and engineers who impact the online community on a daily basis.

SXSW has been an ideal place to spot new talent and ideas. For examples, in 2007 a small web application called Twitter won a SXSW Web Award in the blog category. Today, everyone is using Twitter – from high school students to multi-million dollar companies.

Over the years, SXSW has achieved its goal of bringing together some of the industry’s finest to discover new tools, trends, and business ideas. The conference continues to grow and expand its resources not only in the US but throughout the global market.

Tickets for SXSW can be pre-purchased at a discounted rate. For more information about SXSW visit https://sxsw.com/
