Star Wars & Star Trek Dollar Bill Origami

Star Wars Star Trek Origami

There is a whole ranking kind of community when it comes to origami. I don’t think everyone knows this, but there are actually pretty cool competitions around the world where contestants get to show off their skills by creating some rather spectacular origami creations that go beyond what you previously thought was possible to create with just a single sheet of paper. If you thought that folding a napkin at the dinner table into some crazy looking bird was cool, your head will definitely jump off your body when you see what these guys are capable of. Their skills are just beyond this earth. They plan, calculate and practice all year around to come up with the latest and greatest folds.

Even though there are hundreds of thousands of websites out there that are dedicated to origami alone, we haven’t focused on one particular one. As a matter of fact, we don’t need to because the things we will show you come from origami artist Won Park. If you don’t like regular origami, these are certainly going to make you fly high. Why? Well, they are made from dollar bills and are all what I would call micro origami.

These are Star Wars and Star Trek spaceships that are folded using dollar bills, and they are freaking awesome. The realism in their appearance is just stunning. First I was kind of skeptical about the whole thing, but then I saw the metal wires holding the origami ships in place so that the photographer could take the pictures. You don’t pick up on it right away because of their dark color, but once you know they are there, it all makes sense. They’re quite simply some awesome origami creations!
