We’ve seen some artists get their geek on by trying to put together Star Wars pinup calendars before, but I’ve never seen any Star Wars calendar as beautiful, classy and sexy as this one. Usually what we’ve seen are artists who create cartoony-pinup pictures that aren’t photographs of real women.
For example, these Star Wars pinup iPhone cases were popular for a while, but when you look at those pictures, they simply can’t compare to these. These photographs were taken by professional photographer Joseph DeMarco. I really like how he was able to create modern pictures which are relevant today, but in that pinup style from back in the ’50s.
He took his love of Star Wars and of WWII recruitment propaganda posters and combined them into the bundle of inspiration he needed to complete this project. When I look at these photographs, it makes me wish someone would create a new Star Wars movie with really pretty girls and hot guys. Bradley Cooper could play Luke, Rihanna could play Leia, and Johnny Depp could play Han Solo. I know, it ain’t gonna happen. A girl can dream though, right?
