Star Wars Mod: The Super Geeky & Fabulous R2-D2 Scooter

star-wars-mod-r2-d2

When it comes to Star Wars mods, there really is no limit to what fans can create. I was going through all the Star Wars mods we’ve written about over the past three and a half years so I could find my favorite one to share with you, but there are literally hundreds. It’s almost impossible to choose a favorite out of all those, but since I hold a special place inside for R2-D2, I will say that those are always the ones I like best. R2-D2 is everyone’s favorite droid (or at least he’s mine), and when people create R2-D2 inspired builds, designs and unique creations, it always brings a smile to my face.

This particular Star Wars mod, or more specifically, this R2-D2 mod, is really in a class of its own. This thing is freaking awesome, and I’d give up my over-sized, inefficient car in a heartbeat if I could scoot around Atlanta on this. This is a Vespa (which is an Italian brand of scooter) that has been modded into a super fabulous R2-D2. The first thing I thought of when I saw this is that I know the perfect helmet to wear too! Check out this badass R2-D2 Helmet, which was made by another fan. They go perfectly together.

Morgan, aka catchmychainsaw, created this Star Wars modded scooter all by herself. You can tell by looking at the pictures that she meticulously took care of every tiny detail, and it looks absolutely stunning. You can click on her link to see more pictures. I can only imagine how long it took her to complete this project. I wonder where she lives, and what people think when she scoots around town on the geekiest scooter ever created. Morgan, you are definitely a badass chick!
