Star Wars LED Rubber Ducks: Sci-Fi Just Got Weird

Star Wars LED Rubber Ducks

Recently I found myself watching the Star Wars movie series starting from the very beginning. I started with the oldest movie, even though it’s supposedly not the beginning of the whole saga. I did it solely because of the retro feel it has, and the effects that are still very impressive today. The way it is all done, and the simple tricks they used to make it all look so cool are really astounding when you peak behind the scenes like they let us do every so often.

Of course the story in itself is reason enough to kick back and just get immersed in the world of science fiction. In the middle of the movie, I started thinking about everything we have written regarding Star Wars here on Bit Rebels. It’s quite a lot, and if you do a search for the small search string “Star Wars” at the top of this site, you will find that you will suddenly have a whole day’s worth of reading ahead of you. The creativity people showcase is quite insane when you get into it all.

But nothing could prepare me for the odd marriage between two different worlds. The Star Wars concept has, as you know, been made into both awesome and less than awesome combinations of products and one-offs, but I don’t think we’ve ever seen the mold between a rubber duck and a Stormtrooper before. Well, until now that is. These odd couplings are made available by ForbiddenPlanet and sell for £6.99 each.

If you thought that was the only secret these quite insane ducks had for you, I am happy to disappoint you. These water bumpin’ ducks come with fully incorporated and waterproof LED lights so you can completely immerse yourself in the darkness of the space. Just turn out the lights while in your bathtub, and you’ll find that all your Star Wars Rubber Duck dreams will come true in an alternate bathroom space world. Hm, I never thought I’d write that in a million years, but now I have. Geez!
