10 Illustrations Of Disney Characters Sneaking Into Star Wars

It can’t have escaped anyone that Disney is in the process of acquiring Lucasfilm Ltd. for around $4 billion ($4.05 billion to be exact). It’s a move that has stirred up quite a lot of feelings across the Internet. Disney seems to have immediately, but unofficially, announced that they want to make another set of three original Star Wars movies. The first one could be released as soon as 2015. The Star Wars community has reacted with both happiness and fear that the franchise is now doomed. A bunch of new movies is of course welcome, but the uncertainty over how Disney plans to follow up this mega success franchise is worrying. The result of this news has manifested in all kinds of Star Wars inspired illustrations of Disney characters being uploaded to the Internet, mostly in the past 24 hours.

On the other hand, George Lucas is taking it all quite well. He seems to be happy with his decision and announced that there is no one better equipped to take the helm of Lucasfilm Ltd. than Disney. Their love for the franchise is without comparison, and George said he has no doubt the saga will be continued with the greatest care for what the movie brand stands for.

The nagging feeling of how it will all play out won’t go away, and many people have started doodling all kinds of Disney characters sneaking their way into the Star Wars galaxy. They are Disney characters that would completely destroy the saga as we know it. Of course we will never see any Disney characters in any Star Wars movies anytime soon, but the spoofs have made sure that at least we get to see some Disney characters trying to blend into the Star Wars world. Some of these illustrations are created by the insanely talented illustrator James Silvani. I have been able to find 10 illustrations of Disney characters, drawn by James, that are trying to sneak their way into the Star Wars galaxy with the help of props that I think we are all familiar with nowadays. Does it work? Well, let’s just say that I don’t think Disney would be so stupid as to incorporate any other characters into Star Wars based on their previous mega hit franchises. That’s just my two cents.
