Star Wars Cartoon Art For Your Daily Star Wars Fix

star-wars-cartoon-art

It’s a quiet day here in Atlanta, and I just put The Empire Strikes Back on so I can listen to it while I slowly cross things off my digital to-do list. It’s hard to believe that movie was released in 1980, and even though I’ve probably seen it 50 times, it never gets old. That is one of the many fascinating things about the Star Wars movies. They never seems old or dated, and if anything, they get better with time. I don’t know of any other movie franchise that grows old as gracefully as Star Wars, not even Star Trek. To share the Star Wars love with you today, I thought I’d treat you to some Star Wars cartoon art. If you need a Star Wars fix, this will definitely do the trick.

It’s always fun to see Star Wars in an animated way. Richard wrote an article with 105 Star Wars Galaxy Characters Created As Cartoons a while back, and those were great too. They were a very different style, but still respectable artwork. I like the Star Wars cartoon art I’m sharing with you today better because not only are the colors bright and vibrant, it has a fun caricature feel to it, which is not usually associated with Star Wars. Below you’ll see Luke, Leia, Han, Yoda, Jabba and more.

All of these Star Wars cartoons were created by deviantART user and illustrator ~PatrickSchoenmaker. If you click over to his page, you’ll see not only these Star Wars cartoon creations, but also some brilliant Indiana Jones cartoons and some fantastic Indy stuff. After you look at these and smile, maybe you’ll join me and pop in your favorite Star Wars movie to complete your Saturday too.
