Guy Recreates Battle Of Hoth (Complete With Explosions) In His House

In my opinion, The Empire Strikes Back is the best Star Wars movie created thus far. I’ve gotten into some heated debates about whether or not that’s true, and thus far, I’ve been able to hold my own. One of the most memorable parts of that film (aside from the epic scene where Luke gets his hand cut off), is the Battle of Hoth. To this day, watching that AT-AT get tripped up and fall…followed by that huge explosion, keeps my eyes glued to the screen even though I’ve seen it too many times to count.

We’ve written about Star Wars and Star Trek fans before when they’ve recreated their favorite scenes in their homes, but I don’t think we’ve ever come across anything like this before. Zipidi Doodah recreated the Battle of Hoth in his own living room. It even comes complete with explosions, fire effects and smoke.

Star Wars fan Zipidi Doodah isn’t some super geek who doesn’t have a girlfriend so he just sits in his house and works on this. Nope, he’s been married for 25 years, and god bless his wife for supporting his Star Wars passion. If you look at these pictures closely, you’ll see that he has it all in here, and it’s nothing short of incredible.

If you want to know how to create explosion effects like this, you can check out his video on YouTube called Explosion Effect Tutorial. You can also view a video below where he talks about this Battle of Hoth diorama. Last but not least, you can also watch the original Star Wars Battle Of Hoth. This is without a doubt the best Star Wars diorama I’ve ever seen. There is no Photoshop in any of these photos. If this is what his living room looks like, I wonder what the rest of the rooms in his house have in them. I just have one question. Where do people sit when they come to visit?
